NHHS A Better Way Scholarship

Two $2,500 scholarships and five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to worthy graduating seniors who have unmet financial need and plan to attend a two or four-year college or university. These scholarships will be renewable for a second year so long as the student remains in good academic standing academically at the end of the freshman year.
Criteria: 1. Accepted to attend a two or four year college/university
2. Minimum 3.0 gpa
3. Participation in school activities or community service
4. First generation college student or low family income
5. Unmet Financial need-attach financial aid award letter
Procedure: 1. Complete application thoroughly
2. Essay 500 words maximum typed & double spaced) Topic: Describe a time when you first experienced a sense of historical, political, cultural or racial awareness and how that event affected you personally.
Notification will be given at Senior awards night in June 2010
Due in the College Center at NH by Friday, April 30, 2010.
