Scholarship Opportunities (grades vary from 9-12)

William L. Harry Scholarship Announcement:
Be a high school senior
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Submit an official transcript
Have been accepted and be enrolled at a two or four-year college or university in a program focusing on environmental sciences, natural resources, the field of fisheries, forest resources, oceanography or other related science fields.
Complete and submit an application and all required documents.
Deadline: 4/16/2010
The Spirit of American Youth
Be a U.S. Citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the US
Minimum 3.0 gpa
Will be enrolling for the first time at a US accredited college or university as a full time, degree seeking, first year student in the fall of 2010
High school senior currently attending a public or private high school in the San Fernando Valley.
Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities
Have completed and submitted all required forms by the deadline.
Deadline is March 1, 2010
Princeton Prize in Race Relations:
The candidate must be enrolled in grades 9-12
The candidate must have been actively involved in a volunteer activity in the last 12 months that has had a significant, positive impact on race relations-broadly defined- in his or her school or community.
The candidate must have a supporter (any adult, not related to the candidate) who is familiar with the activity- such as a teacher, adviser, community leader, religious leader who can provide a supporting statement.
Deadline: Postmarked by January 31, 2010
